‘Twas the Day of Thanksgiving

November 22, 2017

‘Twas the day of Thanksgiving and all ‘round the town,

turkeys were roasting to a nice lovely brown.

Mom was decked out in her PA plaid flannel,

Dad was in Sport-Tek while changing the channel.

I settled in, in my favorite of tees,

A District Made v-neck with long comfy sleeves.

Grandma was cozy by the fire, quite warm!

Her Eddie Bauer fleece jacket worked like a charm.

As for Aunt Debbie, she chose comfort first,

In the District Fleece Lounger she was immersed.

Uncle Mark in his woven, Cousin Joe in his sweater,

Everyone was ready, whatever the weather!

When the meal was ready we gathered ‘round the spread,

Thankful once again as a family to break bread.

We all looked quite good, in our SanMar clothes,

So I held up a glass and proposed that we toast

To a family get-together that’s unique and so fun,

It only happens once a year, we eat then it’s done.

With pies and football and green bean casserole,
This holiday is certainly worth all the rigmarole!

Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours,

Enjoy the holiday and postpone those chores!
