Every summer, we invite college students to get real-world experience at SanMar, learning the business from within and working with professional teams across the company.
This year we welcomed 15 new SanMar team members to our summer internship program, and they’ve spent this summer making their mark. Scroll down to learn a little more about each of them.
Marketing Team
Brady Anderson
School: University of Mississippi
Studying: Business Marketing
Brady assisted with building out and maintaining our marketing tools and helped manage existing marketing projects. He also shadowed our digital project managers, observing stakeholder meetings and planning roadmaps.
Dillon McConnell
School: University of Washington
Studying: Business Marketing & Management Innovation
Dillon worked with an outside agency to review marketing processes and find efficiencies. He also helped to scrub our image library and identify images that need to be updated.
Kai Barnum
School: University of Washington
Studying: Visual Communication Design
Kai conducted meetings with marketing team members across the department to gain insights into cross-functional creative workflows. He also researched opportunities to develop AI design tools and helped design logos that will showcase product decorations in our 2026 catalogs.
Simon Gold
School: Santa Clara University
Studying: Marketing
Simon helped the marketing team evaluate our sales tools, like Design Studio, and identify where they can be improved. He also managed focus groups with the SanMar sales team and assisted with social media content creation.

Jack Cuthbert

Studying: Communications
Patrick Tensen
School: Seattle Central College
Studying: Photography & Cinematography
Jack and Patrick assisted the marketing studio team to organize and beautify their new studio space and shadowed photographers on the set. They also built an end-to-end photography campaign, performing art direction, styling, photography and post-production tasks.
Accounting Team
William Snyder
School: Franklin University
Studying: Accounting
William helped to facilitate the uploading of balance sheet reconciliations and the processing of domestic inventory invoices. He also worked with the Concur expense report system and assisted with accounting file cleanup.
Abbie Orndorff
School: Texas Christian University
Studying: Business Administration
Abbie participated in a lease crunch review with the lease accounting team. She also helped to upload balance sheet reconciliations and worked with expense reporting in Concur.
Logistics
Sorchia Zilavy
School: Western Washington University
Studying: Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management
Sorchia learned about the high quality-assurance standards SanMar applies to its inventory, tracked inbound inventory shipments, and participated in the product adoption process.
Global Sourcing
Annabelle Le
School: University of Washington
Studying: Finance & Operations and Supply Chain Management
Annabelle learned the full scope of the apparel product creation process, and helped to standardize material adoption spec sheets for optimized input into our fabric database.
Miranda Marquardt
School: Central Washington University
Studying: Apparel Textiles & Merchandising
Miranda learned about how our products are created, from prototype to production approval, and assisted with photo sample reviews and weekly mailings to our international sourcing partners. She also helped to organize our asset library for streamlined access.
Merchandising Team
Gerardo Castillo Regalado
School: Central Washington University
Studying: Apparel Textiles & Merchandising
Gerardo engaged in customer-focused research, including finding the right fabrics and trims and generating new design ideas. He also learned about both the design and interpersonal skills needed to be a flexible team player at a large company.
IT Infrastructure
Jordy Ruiz
School: University of Washington
Studying: Computer Science & Software Engineering
Jordy partnered with our NetOps team to set up network switches and clear main distribution frame cables. He also helped review and update infrastructure assets, consolidated documentation, and shadowed team members across several service areas.
Sales Operations
Sasha Nelson
School: UCLA
Studying: Business Economics
Sasha produced and edited internal training video content, got hands-on experience with project management tools and AI applications, and contributed to all phases of a nationally-promoted product presentation.
Custom Team
Max Moreno Rebollar
School: Seattle Central College
Studying: Apparel Design & Development
Max organized and cataloged the team’s sample and fabric libraries, helped to prep in-house and virtual presentations, and assisted with developing custom products, from initial customer request to fabric selection and product creation.
We’re glad that these young professionals chose to spend their summer working with us and learning their trade. We can’t wait to see what they’ll do next!
