Creating Camaraderie on College Campuses

August 9, 2016

In Fall 2015, 20.2 million students enrolled in a college or university. This month, schools around the country are welcoming a new class of incoming students. Help student groups prepare for the school year with club apparel and accessories that attract new members.

The fall semester is a great time to introduce new products. With a roster of new members and leaders, clubs will be in the market for new t-shirts, hoodies, caps and bags. Annual turnover creates an opportunity for upgrading t-shirts and accessories. Contact club leaders about outfitting their organizations with new shirts, caps and bags that feature updated decorations.

We’ve assembled a selection of items that college students will love. Check them out:

The Crew Cap

The “dad cap” is making a strong comeback with Generation Z. The trend, spearheaded by pop culture icons, resonates with younger generations. Our Port Authority Spray Wash Cap (C811) is the base cap for this trend and accommodates the trend’s simple, embroidered decoration. For more inspiration, check out our Dad Hat pin board.

The Club T-Shirt

Clubs and organizations need t-shirts for a variety of reasons. From community events to fundraisers, wearing a logoed t-shirt allows members to generate more impressions for their organization. Our Port & Company Core Cotton Tee (PC54) is a great value for college students and organizations.

In the Bag

Students’ lives on campus are constantly on the go. Between trips to the dorm, library and class, students need bags to carry their books and laptop. Backpacks are functional, but totes are cool on campus. Just like the t-shirt, tote bags are a value bargain that generate impressions in academic settings like the library and the classroom.

With freshman move-in day just around the corner, now’s the time to connect with organization leadership. If you haven’t yet developed a relationship with student groups, send an introductory email. Share samples of your work and arrange a time to meet and present product offerings for their club.
